what is the polynominal function for: Degree 5; zeros 3;-i;8+i f(x)= a ( )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Complex zeros come in conjugate pairs... so roots are: 3 -i and + i 8+i and 8 - i Create polynomials like this: (x-root)(x-root)(x-root) ... So multiply: (x-3)(x-i)(x+i)(x-(8+i))(x-(8-i)) The degree will be 5... hope this helps.
