have you ever seen those short videos that are really just a bunch of pics going in a really fast slideshow? How can you do that using a Mac? can you do it through iphoto or imovie?

You need a simple movie creating program (e.g. iMovie) and put the pictures in a row with a little delay between the pics.

Stop Motion Animation? GIF? What? Try 'Pencil' for Mac if you mean GIFs, otherwise any video editing software.
