Help please...how to graph f(x)=5x

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

step 1: rewrite it as y = 5x

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is that okay with you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes now what do I do?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

now give me three numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any numbers

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

make it small and simple as possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0, 1, and 2

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

lol sorry for my absence..i was doing something

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so 0, 1, 2 let x = 0 what would be the value of y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 0 i got it thank you so much

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you got it already?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

that was just 1/4 of the solution :O

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

do i still need to proceed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it wasnt 0?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

no

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

when x = 0, y = 0..so one point of the graph is (0,0) now solve for y when x = 1
