Sandy is constructing a triangle LMN congruent to triangle PQR. http://learn.flvs.net/webdav/assessment_images/educator_geometry_v14/pool_Geom_3641_0309_08/image0044e24670f.jpg She constructed a segment LN congruent to side PR. She then measured side QR with a ruler and constructed a segment of the same length above and towards the right side of segment LN from point N. What error did Sandy make in this step?

Drawing the segment from point N instead of R. Drawing a segment with a ruler instead of an arc with the compass. Drawing the segment towards the left of segment LN intead of towards the right. Drawing a segment above segment LN instead of marking a point M. I think C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's B. usually in construction the way I learnt it, I wasn't allowed to use a ruler directly. I always had to use my compass.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even if it was possible to do it with a ruler.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its b
