Examine the figure of the regular polygon below. What is the value of x? 45 60 30 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there an easy way to figure out or know what the angle is and I don't know it. because I dont understand how to figure out an angle when they havent given me any numbers... can someone please help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you remember sum of interior angle formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for exterior angle it is 360 degree >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is 180 but I could be totally wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's n(number of sides) - 2 x 180 for sum of interior angle of polygon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what I didnt know there was a formula! you just made my life a little easier lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

medal! :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

be my fan too :) cheers! and no prob ;D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how old are you i am 16 :P i think you are older than me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I am about to be 18 lol just taking summer classes to catch up on some math for college ... seriously sucks though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright good luck for that .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wait i think I am doing the formula wrong haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's your working :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n(6)-2x180 can you just do 6n-2x180 or is there a specific order you have to do this in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how exactly did you get 60?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my assistant will provides you with further assistant as i have to take my leave now. Thanks Sauravshakya!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

assistance*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

otay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay .are u familiar that all angles of regular polynomials are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeppers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

back* i found a tutorial video for you which might be helpful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and do u know that sum of all angles of the polygon u gave is 720 degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did not know that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOh Khanacademy.org is nice website

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wish you all the best while watching the videos and may god bless you with wisdom to understand it better >.>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i am here to teach u then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am liking the video thanks a lot!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea >.< i know i am awesome but i am a humble person i dont brag. "D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure you dont lol thanks for your help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i ask nother question while your still here?>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

another**

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A regular hexagon and a regular octagon share a side, as shown in the image below. What is the measure of x, the angle between a side of the hexagon and a side of the octagon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because there together do you have to add them togehter kinda to get the angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 105 degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you do that the same way we did the last one? or is it different

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last part is different
