To store strawberries in sugar syrup, Lucy placed them in a jar and covered them with sugar but did not add any water. Do you think syrup will be formed? Justify.

Yes, because there is more water inside the strawberry than the amount outside, the water from inside the strawberry will flow out (due to high to low concentration movement) and will form syrup with the sugar.
