Does anyone know where you can get credit for computer science classes online? The website I have found so far in that department is theoreillyschool which issues certificates. I usually like to have an idea ahead of time, so I'm interested in taking classes not for credit online at reputable schools. Thanks, Peace!
It's unlikely to exist for free, but the closest thing I can suggest is Coursera.org. There are some programs like which offer some form of signification for completing the course.
Kevin- you've just asked where you can get credit, and then said you want to take classes NOT for credit- - so which is it? Anybody who is accredited and gives academic credit will likely require you to register and pay tuition. Other places may give you "certificates of completion" or participation, but will not give you academic credit. Many more give you lots of resources to learn on your own, but there is no formal recognition of the work you do.
