You toss 2 coins. Find P(At least 1 head is tossed). A) 1/2 B) 3/4 C) 7/8 D) 1/4

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Okay, so what are the possible outcomes? i could get a Head and a Tail = HT a tail and a head = TH both tails = TT and, both head = HH So I have 4 possible outcomes right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you toss 2 coins that means that your chances are doubled

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Okay and now how many of these outcomes has ATLEAST one Head in it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3... am I right?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

@wangkan07 no not really tossing a 2 coins doesn't necessarily double your chances always. @darkzii yes 3! so, I got 4 possible outcomes, out of which 3 are favorable - so what's the probability?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

*tossing 2 coins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/4? :)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Hmm.... Right-O!! :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (apoorvk):
