How does distance affect force when the amount of work remains the same? Answer As distance increases the amount of force needed increases. As distance decreased the amount of force needed decreases. As the distance increases the amount of force needed decreases. As the distance increases the amount of force is not affected.

Imagine yourself pushing a box along a road. You are applying a constant force on that box. Just because someone tells you to go an extra mile doesn't change how hard you have to push it. The distance only affects the overall work done, but not the force.
