If nx + 7 = 8 while kx - 7 = 10, what is the value of n/k?
get an expression for nx from the first equation then get an expression for kx from the second equation then divide one by the other
does that make sense?
yeah i got the answer 1/17
perfect! :)
do we assume x != 0?
I would think so.
maybe make a note saynig x != 0
depends on what "level" of maths you are studying at @lawls
o wait it cant be because nx would not equal 1
true - x=0 would not satisfy either equation - so it not a viable answer.
word
hope we haven't confused you @lawls :)
yeah just dont read my first remark or beyond:)
unless you want to kiss your teachers but:)
it's ok guys. it's only a sat level question.
ok - thats good, you can ignore the discussions about x=0 then. :)
unless you're actually interested in knowing why it was brought up by @zzr0ck3r ?
no that's ok lol
