Well the Mongolian empire constantly raided and marched from the east degrading their military and taking over nations east of the roman empire. The mongolian empire was the largest empire in history and wanted to own all land at this time and saw the romans as a threat to their manifest destiny. Another issue was Barbarians from the north would constantly pillage small roman villages and when they sent soldiers to far in the barbarians would slaughter them. The third issue was pirating in the mediterrainian eventually grew to a big downfall in goods starving the people and trade got destroyed and this all ended the roman empire in time. Political corruption also added in this brew.
