your y intercept is wrong. you can find where x=0 by using the slope formula. y2-y1/x2-x1=m with that point (-2,1) and (0,b) so b-1/(0-(-2)=3 so b-1=6 so b=7 y=mx+b y=3x+7 but both ways work
