The domain of the function f(x) = 2x + 1 is x > 1. True or false?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

false, when we look at what a domain is we look for what the domain cant be, in other words is there any reason that we cant put a number into 2x+1? vs something like 1/x. 2x+1 can have any number you want. thus the domain is all real numbers
