Yeah.. buy a good book such as the c programming language and try to understand the most of the things mentioned.. Ones you have learned the fundamentals of the language start writing simple code and proceed by writing something more difficult.. keep in mind though that you have to study hard if you want to develop good skills in code writing

I learned C using "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan & Ritchie. Some would say it's better to try ANSI C, before exploring the C++ superset, or variants like C#. There are few things you can't do with plain Jane ANSI C. Choose projects of interest to you (graphics, math, databases, communications, security, et cetera) and learning is more enjoyable. The problem with this approach is that language is difficult to acquire talking to yourself! Feel free to watch lectures on iTunes, at the Stanford SEE web site, MIT OCW or numerous other possibilities to better understand the subtle features of syntax, and problem solving.

I just google whenever I wanna learn new language or deepen my understanding of the language. There are several free tutorials on the web. But buying a book is a great idea. Reading printed copies are way better than reading on a computer screen (in my opinion).
