Hey guys so I'm taking Linear Algebra right now and struggling with wrapping my head around some of the definitions. Would anyone be willing just to have a conversation with me about the concepts in the class to make sure I understand?
its hard to answer general questions, do you have something a little more specific?
I had to do a lot of review of matrices to understand Gilbert Strang's first two lectures. I found this website really helpful: http://www.stattrek.com/tutorials/matrix-algebra-tutorial.aspx I also watched the first three lectures from 18.02 (Multivariable Calculus) to remember what vectors are. Maybe these resources could help you, if your questions are similar to the ones I had.
Ben, are you an actual attendee at MIT? I wasn't sure how many people are self-pacing through the courseware for their own personal purposes. The thing I can tell you about Linear Algebra is that it is very abstract. The computations are stupid simple. So being able to do them doesn't mean you understand anything about Linear Algebra.
