Which instrument is harder to learn piano or guitar?
I heard that learning piano is the best instrument to first learn and that everything after that is easy.
guitar
i think guitar is harder i play the piano
the guitar
well I thought it would be piano because I can play the guitar but my piano skills are a bit dodgy :)
piano
They are both equally hard. See do you understand a guitar you are pushing your fingers at certain points and same on a piano. They both are equally hard and all ways the difficulty is almost exact. Its all muscle memory.
piano
well I have both piano and guitar...and sometimes the piano can get quite hard when using both hand and doing something totally different with them...and my guitar is hard because I dont really know how to commute from one chord to another
its piano because at one point yu will have to move both hands at different speeds. where on guitar its just an almost constant sped for the left hand.
Look up finger picking its the equivilant of the two hands on piano.
Apples and oranges, and it depends what kind of thing you want to play. The piano is easy to read notes for; each note exists in exactly one place on the piano on the other hand you have pedals and have to coordinate both hands in a precise and somewhat disorienting way (at least a first) The guitar is more difficult to read notes for because most notes exist in more than one place on the guitar, hence the invention of guitar "tablature". If all you want to play is basic rock then perhaps the guitar is easier than the piano, but you won't get much understanding in my opinion. If you want to do anything more though (classical, jazz, etc.) it's all about the same. It requires the same dedication and discipline, no matter the instrument.
I was kind of enjoying the argument. xD
I guess I just feel it's a sort of "spider man v.s. super man" if you know what I mean...
Oh, yes. It was funny though. "It's guitar," no, "It's piano". xD
True, probably shouldn't have spoiled the fun :P
xD
Neither one is necessarily easier or harder. I, for example, have learned piano, but never managed to learn guitar. It might just depend on how you learn it and how determined you are. For example, I tried to learn piano from a private teacher (a real expensive one!) in 3rd grade and I never practised much at all. I could play a little but, yeah, no. Then, I took a piano/theory class in 6th grade at school. It was a huge group but it was for a grade. I learned it pretty fast! Piano and guitar are both very good instruments to start with. I will say this, however, the guitar may be more portable, but you need to tune it a lot more. If you want a straight-out answer. Go with piano. FINAL WORD: Choose either one, but PRACTISE, or else you'll never learn much at all.
it just depends i guess lol
It depends on the person really but I play both and I picked up piano a lot easier than I did gutair mainly having generally small hands because even though it's difficult to be able to maybe hit certain keys at the same time it was a lot harder for me to be able to hold the chords down on the gutair and move to different one quickly and it took a while to get the hang of it but I finally got it down.
