@sai1234

OpenStudy (phi):

start with y= x^3 + 2 solve for x then rename x to y and y to x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused

OpenStudy (phi):

do you know how to "solve for x" in y= x^3+2 ? that means get x by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (phi):

you start by add -2 to both sides.

OpenStudy (phi):

x^3 = y-2 now take the cube root of both sides \[ x=\sqrt[3]{y-2}\] now rename x and y \[y= \sqrt[3]{x-2}\]
