Which expression is a factor of 2xy + 6x – 3y – 9?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

this can be grouped in pairs (2xy - 3y) + (6x - 9) factorise each pair y(2x - 3) + 3(2x - 3) 2x - 3 is common to both so the factorised form is (2x -3)( y + 3)

Wow I never expected an answer so fast! Thanks alot, factoring is like the hardest way for me to solve problems. Like when I'm solving a quadratic, I just use completing the square or the quadratic formula. Questions that ask me to factor things out completely take me a really long time--unless there simple, like x^2+4x+4 or something.
