Comparison theorem with some 1/x^n function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried integral test: that was brutal

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Umm sorry.. but I think I am illiterate in this stuff - won't the ratio test work here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the ratio test would fail miserably here, b/c it would ultimately spit out 1.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Man man... I am totally ignorant about this Integral test and Comparison theorem! Umm I think it would churn out \(\log_n(n+1)\) which is definitely greater than 1?

Ok if that one is too hard, how about this one: |dw:1342887164683:dw|
