F(x)=sqrt X How do I find domain and range? Please and Thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)equals \sqrt{x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For Domain of Square root numbers always remember that the square root values should be greater or equal to zero but it can't be negative.. \[x \ge 0\] So Domain is all positive real numbers including 0 also.. But no negative numbers..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the range would be [infinity, 0)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let f(x) = y so, y = \(\sqrt{x}\) Square both the sides: \(y^2 = x\) Range is (infinity, -infinity)..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry: (-infinity, infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you.
