is x or y the range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y is the range..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is domain..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

by convention; y is usually denoted as the rangel but i think a better definition is that name of the function itself is the range, be that: h(r), t(a), or f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Generally we let f(x) = y So here you can say either f(x) is range or y is range..
