Divide f(x) by d(x), and write a summary statement in the form indicated. f(x) = x^4 + 4x^3 + 6x^2 + 4^x + 5; d(x) = x^2 + 1

Have you learned long division yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

I would use long division to simplify the expression. But it's also just simple enough to write f(x)/d(x) right? My guess is that they want you to use long division here though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let me try

would I use synthetic division?
