what does converse, inverse and contrapositive mean? can you give examples also? please!
I'm in the middle of a work sheet and they gave examples in the lesson but it's so confusing...so please help?
converse is when they switch the if then statement
inverse is when they add "not"
thank you 91! but what is a contrapositive? :) any clue?
Contrapositive is when they add not and reverse the statement.
It is prety much both of them combined.
so that's like inverse and converse put together
lol, yep.
I see okay thank you both! :) I appreciate it...i was reading through the lesson and was like they completely lost me lol
xD, ya, that happenes.
happens*
lol for me...all the time lol
Inverse: the inverse of a statement is the statement in the same order with both parts negated Example: Statement-If you win a case, this school is great Inverse-If you do NOT win a case, this school is NOT great Converse: the converse of a statement is the statement in the opposite order Example: Statement-If you win a case, this school is great Converse- If this school is great, then you win a case Contrapositive: the contrapositive of a statement is the statement in the opposite order with both parts negated Example-If you win a case, this school is great Contrapositive-If this school is NOT great, then you will NOT win a case.
