What are the characteristics of a complex number? (1 point)
What is the relationship between a complex number and its conjugate? (2 point)

It'd be best to just Google each part to study what it all means. For example if I search Google for "complex number definition" the first thing that pops up is its Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_number which tells me that a complex number is one that has both a real and imaginary part. Next try searching for "complex number conjugate relationship." Do you have a textbook? You can look in the index of your textbook for these definitions too and form your answer from there.

Ah. Well then the internet is your next best resource. I find it best to study from all kinds of different resources instead of just reading through one boring lecture or one boring textbook... if you spend enough time looking around on the internet there are some great reputable websites that can teach you a lot better than even some professors can, including http://www.khanacademy.org/ (my favorite) and http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/
