A couple want to put up Christmas lights along the roofline of their house. If the front of the house is 100 ft. wide and the roof has a 45degrees pitch, how many linear feet of Christmas lights should the couple buy? Round to the nearest foot. Please tell me how you did it :) Thanksssss BTW: It's not my homework. Just trying to learn what's written on the book.

With sin formula perpendicular/ hypotenuse we can get both the roof linear length 100 x2^.5
