1. In your own words, summarize what causes tides. Discuss the effects of tidal forces and how bulges are formed. 2. In your own words, explain why humans are interested in monitoring tides. What impact do tides have on human life? What impact might tides have on other organisms? 3. In your own words, discuss how tides are monitored. Describe the old and new methods of monitoring tides.
Tides are due to gravitational forces..
well i know that. can u give more information on this
Tide-generating forces (TGF) are a result of the gravitational attraction between the earth, the sun, and the moon and the centrifugal force due to the relative motions of the moon around the earth, and the earth around the sun. More on that: While these forces exactly balance on average, the local mismatch at the earth's surface creates a horizontal force directed towards the surface points closest and farthest from the moon (the "lunar" TGF) and the sun (the "solar" TGF).
They are due to gravitational forces b/w Earth, moon and sun. Sun is way bigger than moon but moon is closer to Earth. That's the reason moon has more effect on tides.
wat bout 2 and 3 if u mind? please!
please message me the answer!!!
2) It's pretty obvious that tides effect the fish breading and stuff. For humans it's necessary to monitor to stay safe from floods which might occur.
For old methods, you have to use http://google.com For new methods, satellite and gps monitoring is used. THe location of moon, etc is brought into consideration.
thanx saifo
