[Challenging Question:LVL 1:] A bomb of mass 'm' is projected at an angle with the horizontal.It explodes in 2 fragments-:m/3 and 2m/3.At max height m/3 falls vertically downward whereas 2m/3 flies off and falls at any point say "D".Find the distance AD. (A is the initial point on the graph). Good luck to everyone who tries!
well i would rather hold the bomb on my head. . .
haha
what are the variables/data in terms of which the distance is to be found..i mean it wont be a numerical ans,right?
in terms of R you can suppose (:
@mukushla @Vaidehi09
3Rg/4 if i calculated right...
oh add R/2 to the previous ans..
|dw:1342982193203:dw| now my imagination says bomb explodes in such a way that is momentum that was taking it in parabolic direction is cancelled out with thrust of bomb now m*(velocity at highest point)=momentum of bomb it is cancelled out by thrust of bomb with just a /3rd of its mass used as while explosion.
