Bradley and Kelly are out flying kites at a park one afternoon. A model of Bradley and Kelly’s kites are shown below on the coordinate plane as kites BRAD and KELY respectively. Which statement is correct about the two kites? They are similar because is 1:2 and 1:2. They are not similar because is 1:5 and is 1:2. They are not similar because is 1:2 and is 1:5. They are similar because is 1:5 and is 1:5.
i know the answer is not B or D
fixed answers**: they are similar becuz BR:BD 1:2 and KE:YK is 1:2 they are not similarit becuz BR:BD is 1:5 and KE:KY is 1:2 they are not similar becuz BR:BD is 1:2 and KE:KY is 1:5 they are similar becuz BD:BR is 1:5 and KE:KY is 1:5
i think it is A... could someone please check?
They are not similar because BR;BD=1:2 and KE:KY=1:5 The answer is C.
Could you please explain? @BTaylor i understand how to get BR"BD =1:2 but not KE:KY
using the distance formula:\[d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}\] you get KE = 1.41 and KY = 7.07, a 1:5 ratio.
ohhh okay thank you (: @BTaylor
