Find the median of the following set of data. 23, 50, 49, 48, 49, 32, 37, 40, 41, 42, 41, 41, 43

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what a median is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add them all together then devide by how ever many numbers you added so example, 1, 2, 4 is 1+2+4 = 7 which is 7/3 = 2.33

OpenStudy (anonymous):

average number list lower to higher middle number if two find arithmetric mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JoelPerez89 That's a mean.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow my mistake you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I misread the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1,2,3 Meadian = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*Median

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mean is when you add all numbers and divide them by how many thier are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would help him, but I'm not even sure he's there o-o Also, it wouldn't help if he didn't know what a median is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah maybe he doesn't see the messages. I will let you handle it. Take care guys

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

he's offline i think

OpenStudy (zepp):

The median is the center number of a set of datas, when all numbers are placed from small to large; eg: 1,5,6,7,13; median would be 6

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

maybe he was hoping he could leave a question and come back to see an answer hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for odd data points value median is just n/2 value for even data points median is average of n/2 and n/2+1 value .

OpenStudy (zepp):

like a farmer, leaving seeds; come back in a year and expects some crops.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For future reference, the organized data is 23,32,37,40,41,41,41,42,43,48,49,49,50

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

maybe he planted monggo seeds @zepp

OpenStudy (zepp):

lololol

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

wait i think it's better known as mungbean seeds hm...my heritage has gotten the better of me. im using slangs o.O
