I agree, you'll get better answers in the Math section, but here's half the answer: plug the numbers into the equations (that is, put -1 where it says "x" and -2 where it says "y") and see which of the four are true and which are false. If any of them are false you can eliminate them. Whichever is/are left would then be possible choices. If there is more than one then graph them on a sheet of graph paper and you will see which one looks the most perpendicular.
