If this is a true or false question, this is definitely false. The Battle of Stalingrad was the worst defeat that the Wehrmacht (the German army) would suffer on the Eastern Front and mark what many consider to be a major turning point in WW2 against the Third Reich. An entire army group would disappear from the map and the myth of German invincibility was broken at Stalingrad. It was a defeat that the Germans would never recover from after hundreds of thousands of soldiers and vast numbers of armaments like tanks, artillery pieces, and aircraft were lost on their side alone.
