Whats the most difficult type of math you have to know in Automotive Technology?
The term "automotive technology" is largely vague, could mean anywhere from manufacturing bolts to designing lubricant for moving parts to designing the electrical system. My best answer to this question would depend on what facet of automotive technology you are interested in, but highest level math can be anywhere from calculus courses to ordinary/partial differential equations to fourier analysis.
I guess... Gear Box design... It requires huge calculations, starting from Gears, Bearings, shafts and box design...
and of course, for high speed vehicles, the body design plays a big role.. it leads to various formulas and differential equations.. based on your approach..
Alright, thanks guys. =) My main focus would be repairing cars. Basically learning about everything that would be on the ASE certification tests.
