What is the difference between sketching and drawing geometric figures? Give a real-world example of each.

Sketch = inexact ; a rough sketch Drawing = exact ; AutoCAD (computer aided drawing) A sketch you can draw on a piece of scrap paper or something you often see on this website. It's meant to convey and idea, and isn't needed to be exactly to scale and have the correct lengths and such. A "drawing" in this sense means a computer model which is super-exact and made of vector graphics so it can be scaled as-needed. You should look up AutoCAD with Google to see some example of engineering drawings :-)
