Type the equation of the given line in standard form. The line with m = 4 and the point (0, -9). Thanks. Y'all (:

2 ways to do this First way is use point-slope form: y - y1 = m(x-x1) where (x1,y1) is given point plug in the numbers --> y-(-9) = 4(x-0) --> y+9 = 4x get y by itself --> y = 4x -9 The 2nd way is use slope-intercept form: y=mx+b plug in the point for x and y, then solve for b --> -9 = 4(0) +b --> -9 = b therefore --> y = 4x -9

Oh, okay. Thanks!
