can someone please help me with sequences? i don't get why there are so many formulas and which one to use at what time

for each sequence, find an expression for a(little n) and indicate if the sequence is arithmetic, geometric or neither. a) 4/3, -5/4, 6/5, -7/6… neither an=(-1)^(n+1) n+3/n+2 b) 96, 48, 24, 12… Geometric an=96(½)^(n-1) c) 5, 9, 13, 17… Arithmetic an=5+(n-1)4 the answers are below the question but i just don't get how to get that
