Why would post Civil War, newly industrialized America be attracted to the Realistic movement? (I know this is a Literature/Writing question and I'm asking in the Math section.)
this is the math section? dang... no wonder everyone's telling me i don't know what i'm talking about...
so why are u asking it in the math section anyway?
One of the most notable occurrences of the Civil War era, was the birth of Claude Debussy (1862). Debussy is enigmatic for being both famous for his Mathematical Structuring as well as his role in history in pioneering imagination (or imaginary) music. Americans, now newly industrialized and always eager to decry things French (not much has changed), were naturally attracted to the compliment of Imaginary Movements; Realistic movements. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Debussy#Mathematical_structuring
