would it be 2x + 3 -5x+7=1
Correct. Now simply a bit.
-3x + 10=1?
Yup. Now you just gotta solve for x. what would you do first?

subtract 10 from both sides then divide 3x?
by -3x
100% correct... I bet you could have done this all on your own without myself. :D You will just need to multiply by a (-1) at the end so you don't have -x.
