what is decimal part of a number?
guys help needed
Wait! i misread.
the part of number (fraction ) which is less than a unit( 1)
oh i remember it now ; thank u \[x=\lfloor x \rfloor+\left\{ x \right\}\]
for example 4/3=1.33 it may be written as 1+ (1/3) here 1/3=0.333 is decimal part of this number or fraction
@mukushla dear dont try just to remember expressions only just remember exact meaning of things i too didnt remeber this expression but i knew what it is thats why i was able to explain this. . .
any real number can be written like: \[r=c _{0}/10^{0}+c _{1}/10^{1} +... +c _{n}/10^{n}\] decimal part is : c_1
@myko an example plz
\[1,234 = 1/10^{0}+2/10^{1}+3/10^{2}+4/10^{3}+0/10^{4}+...+0/10^{n}\]
waht is the decimal part of 12.56 ?
ITS 1.234 0r 1234 @myko
1.234
decimal part of 12.56?
5
the number coming after decimal..
but this does not work with the defination given by myko
ok, i think i undersut what you whant. By what i wrote befor the decimal part would be everything after decimal point, not just the mane part. So decimal part of the 12.56 = 0.56. By the definition i gave befor it would be all c_n that are comming after comma
but it would be better called fractional part i think
yeah. now that's better answer
it's a wrong question, :)
why?
decimal part of number 2,345 can mean many things... 2,345/10 = 0,2345 3 0,345
fractional part, decimal point, one tenth are clear noations...
2.345 and 2.345/10 are two different numbers
2,345/10 = 0,2345
0.2345 is one decimal of 2.345
i think you understand what i whant to say
thank u all for ur help :)
