What is Eudiometry? give one example of it .
sorry i typed it in wrong section
Okay.. Hmm.. eudiometry is some sort of quantitative analysis of the amount of a chemical substance present in mixture, measured by 'removing' the compound (by getting it absorbed by a suitable agent), and measuring the depression in the volume of the substance left!
For example, it's known that KOH absorbs CO2. So, if I have a mixture of CO2, and say, N2 in a container, I could pass the gas through a KOH atmosphere, and when the CO2 has been absorbed, I could measure the change in volume of the vessel and know what amount of CO2 was present in the sample. (ofcourse knowing the temperature and pressure conditions the operation takes place in, and keeping it constant)
@goformit100 - hope this helps.
Thanks @apoorvk
No worries ;)
