Given: Same-side interior angles are supplementary Prove: AB=CD
i really need help im very stuck on this one:(
What does 'supplementary' mean?
180 degres right?
Yeah, two angles are supplementary if their sum is 180 degrees
but there is no degrees here i cant add anything thats where im lost:(
You don't need the degrees necessarily. For example, angles 1 and 2 are supplementary, what other angles are supplementary? You just need to be aware of the relationships between the angles
so i can also say that angles 8 and 7 are supplementary angles?:D
I don't believe that conclusion is supported by your given fact. Your fact is about the angles, your conclusion is about the lengths of the segments. There aren't very many other facts to link the two.
so in total i could just say what was given is that AB and CD are parallel to eachother, with this i can say that angles 8 and 7 are supplementary adding up to 180 degerees and also angles 1 and 2 are supplementary angles. does that sound good?
how would u prove if there corresponding angles then if i cant do it that way?
Your given leads to the conclusion that the lines are parallel. You don't have a single fact about how long the segments are, as far as I can tell.
how would u prove if there corresponding angles then if i cant do it that way?
