This is for a friend:) If anyone could help I would appreciate lots! Write a word problem that can be solved by working backward. Include at least two steps in the problem. Then, show the answer and how the problem can be solved by working backward.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

You all don't have to show the answer or how it is solved. I can do that. I just need help in figuring out a word problem that will be solved backwards?

There is always option B xD A scientist has a special bacteria that when he places a batch in a beaker, can double in volume every minute. He puts a few of the bacteria in a beaker. In an hour, the beaker is full. When was it 1/4 full? Working backwards, it must have been 1/2 full at 59 minutes, because in the 60th minute it doubled in volume. Similarly, it must have been 1/4 full at 58 minutes.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

lol @vivi305 should know

OpenStudy (theviper):

it took so much time @karatechopper :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Lol but its not my question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (theviper):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

OpenStudy (theviper):
