so we have 3.33 feet width and 7 feet height
We have space for 3.5 feet with and 9 feet height

yes . Because 1 foot = 12 inches . 
therefore , 7 feet = 84 inches so that will fit in a 9 inch area .  and 40 inches = 3.333333 ft  and that will fit in a 3.5 foot area .
