FInd the cubic polynomial function with two of it's zeros 2 ad -3+squareroot2 and a y intercept of 7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i solve this ; what method ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

let the cubic be \[y=x^3+bx^2+cx+d\] Its two roots are 2 and -3+ \(\sqrt 2\) so y=0 when x=2 and y=0 when x=\(-3+\sqrt 2\) and when x=0, y=7 we'll get d from the last and two equations from the roots in terms of a and b

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Do you get this @burhan101 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im trying to break it down for myself

@ash2326 okay so what do i so with this info, sorry i am really confused
