How do I get to the text editor for python?

Hi.Mushfiq.I f you are studying MIT 6.00 course.I prefer you should download Python IDLE 2.7.3 from " http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.7.3/ ".I think this gonna help you.

I would recommendate for you this python-based editor: http://www.sublimetext.com/2 it's really awesome :).

Just go to file -> new window, it will open a blank screen without the shell text. That's the editor, every-time you want to restart\update your script just press f5 (for windows). 2 hours into this, already figured out the problem set after trying to figure out just how to word the print for the last name, dob (btw that comma is a spoiler)

hi i prefered eclipse IDE with pydev plugin is the better editor and help you in sintax and lexico errors.
