ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\frac{a}{b}=\frac{c}{d} \\ => \\ a:b = c:d\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry can you explain this please?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

sure.. here the question is just asking to put the given equation as proportion

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

i thought its asking to convert it to ratio. so its actually much simple... let me explain

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(p\) can be written as \(\frac{p}{1}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

a proportion is just an equation with fractions on each side, like this, \(\frac{p}{1} = \frac{k}{v}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

here you just put "1" under the p, it becomes a proprtion !
