It looks like you're working with the verb "hervir." "Hervir" means "to boil." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, let's look at the dialogue, and translate it. First, a person asks.....¿En qué __________ usted el agua? (What did you boil the water in?) Then, the other person answers...."La _________ en la olla." (I boiled it in the pot.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We have to fill in the blank with the correct form of "hervir," in the PAST TENSE. Let me show you the different forms of "hervir" in the PAST TENSE. (Yo) hervi (Tú) herviste (Él/Ella/Usted) hirvió (Nosotros) hervimos (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) hivieron ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, all you have to do is fill in the blank, with the correct form of "hervir." BIG HINT: The second blank is in the YO form. Because in the second sentence, the person is answering...."I boiled it in the pot." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you still have any questions, please ask!
