Are you working on ways to conjugate the verb "ser"? "Ser" means "to be," in English. In English, the different forms of "TO BE" are... AM....ARE....and IS. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First, let's look at the sentences, and translate them. 1. Yo _________ inteligente. -I ______ intelligent. 2. Tú ________ simpático. -You ________ friendly. 3. Usted __________ baja. She ________ short. 4. María ______ atlética. - Maria _________ athletic. 5. El muchacho ___________ delgado. -The boy ___________ thin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, I'm assuming that you need to choose the right form of "ser," (to be) in the present tense. Let me show you all the choices that you have: (Yo) SOY................I AM (Tú) ERES..................You ARE (Él/Ella/Usted) ES...................He/She IS (Nosotros) SOMOS................We ARE (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) SON...............They ARE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You just have to know the right word to use, in each sentence. I'll show you how to do the first two: 1. Yo SOY inteligente. We have to use SOY, because that's the correct one for YO. It means "I AM intelligent." Get it? Next one: 2. Tú ERES simpático. We have to use ERES, because it matches what we have to say, for Tú. It means "You ARE friendly." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Again, just take a look at all the choices that you have. Use the word that matches the subject of the sentence. Is it a YO sentence? Then use SOY. Is it a Tú sentence? Then use ERES. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you still have any questions, please ask!
