When will I be abled to become a moderater?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No rude commets Comments

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to be really good, can't have warnings or anything, and then the mods watch you for awhile and decide whether or not you can be one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We actually aren't allowed to ask to be a mod. A site mod has to offer it to you. What AS said isn't completely true. I had 1 suspension before I was a group mod and 1 warning. . But they have their own standards and stuff. You have to be well liked by people on the site, helpful, etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>.> I'm just repeating what I was told by a Mod when I asked lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At first I could have been but I turned

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You were offered the opportunity to be a mod?

OpenStudy (freckles):

@jesusisrisen what about being an ambassador? I don't know if they are looking for anymore right now....but when they do you can see about that. @rebeccaskell94 is it too late to be an ambassador for now? And do you know anything about them adding more in the future?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We are actually not looking for more ambassadors atm but I can add him to my list if he wants. I don't know when we are looking to add more, that's up to Colm and Ash. I just keep a list of people who have asked to be an ambassador. We don't want to many because that kind of defeats the purpose of having one at all, if you know what I mean. Don't worry though, all we do is welcome new users and show them around, you could do it too. We don't have any special powers or privileges. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you becca I tryed last time but I didnt have an id but now I do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll put you on the list. I can't promise you a position or anything. The ambassadors basically just voted on who was going to become ambassador, and if that is how the choose to do it again, then I can't do much more than put your name out there. (a mod also had to approve them) The rest you have to do, by building a good reputation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (freckles):

Maybe @jesusisrisen you can start welcoming new users in the chats and getting noticed by helping and chatting.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ive been doin that wen I get

OpenStudy (freckles):

Ok. Great! :)

Hey everyone, so good information all around here. One thing I'd like to clear up is that it isn't against the rules to ask to be a moderator. That was probably a miscommunication on my part. Basically, what I *did* say was that those who ask to be a moderator are typically not the right people for the job. That *doesn't* mean they can't ask or inquire about this - I just kinda go off of Plato's rules regarding who should be a leader - the one who doesn't want to be one ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D: :O Colm! It wasn't just you but there for like, ever other mods were also saying that anyone who asked didn't have a chance. -__- Like not just "you shouldn't" but "don't" There was even a post in Feedback about it. It was so long ago though. So like...yeah. Anyways. I'm...shocked. Like, users were even being really harsh on people for asking, as well. I thought you guys meant it. Well, then.
