Write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form with a slope of -6 and a y-intercept of 9.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equation of Slope Intercept form is given by: \(y = mx + c\) where m is the slope and c is the y intercept.. So just plug in the values.. Can you do that?? Here put m= -6 and y = 9.. Tell me what do you get..

Parth (parthkohli):

\(y = mx + b\) \(m = \text{slope} \quad y = \text{y-intercept}\)

Parth (parthkohli):

Just substitute. \(m = -6\) \(b = 9\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9 = -6x + c ?

@waterineyes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put 9 in place of c and not in place of y.. Do it again..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k, so... y = -6x + 9 ? @waterineyes

Parth (parthkohli):

Yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well Done..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! @ParthKohli , & @waterineyes
