I'm not sure if this is technically considered a polynomial because there is an exponential term within the equation? Any help is appreciated :)

A polynomial in its standard form includes exponents right, but the exponent are $ \in \mathbb{N}$ read your function again and identify the exponents.

All polynomials have non-negative integers as the exponents.  because of that trailing term, this is not a polynomial.
